Founded in 2010, art.ware began as an independent curatorial initiative dedicated to promoting media art practices in Hong Kong. Its signature project, CINEMA 2.0, ran from 2010 to 2023, resulting in a series of highly acclaimed exhibitions, performances, and workshops. In 2024, art.ware published a book titled Cinema After Cinema to conclude this exhibition series.
In 2021, art.ware was officially registered as Artware Curatorial Initiative Company Limited, This transition solidifies its commitment to facilitating creative and critical dialogue among culture, technology, and contemporary artistic production.
Today, art.ware operates as a non-profit organization and registered charity. We welcome donations of any amount, and tax-deductible receipts will be issued for contributions of HK$100 or more. Your support is vital to our mission and helps enrich the cultural landscape of Hong Kong.
